In recent years, Santander’s UK bank have developed a full service offering and built successful and mature team who have gown their footprint in the UK Corporate Banking market extensively.
Engage PSG have supported that growth by providing search and selection services at multiple levels for the bank.
In a highly competitive market, Santander had to attract high quality external talent, and to secure people that really could buy into the vision being laid out and then drive the journey towards that vision.
Engage PSG were mandated at an early stage in the development of this unit and were mandated to find three Divisional Managing Director’s for the Northern, Midlands and London and South East regions.
In full consultation with Senior Leadership and HR, we put together as assignment brief and the mapped out over 150 senior banking leaders with the surface credentials for the vacant roles.
We then screened and distilled the long list down to a short list of the most suitable people, and worked work Santander to identify a short list for each role.
We successfully completed the assignment placing all three roles and mapping the leadership meant were also able to identify the teams of people underneath and we have since gone on to place over 100 people at Santander from Relationship Manager, Sector Specialist to Leadership and are one of the leading recruitment suppliers to the bank.
