Jumio Corporation delivers the next-generation in digital ID verification, enabling businesses to reduce fraud and increase revenue while providing a fast, seamless customer experience. Jumio uses computer vision technology to verify nearly 100 million credentials issued by over 200 countries in real time web and mobile transactions. Jumio’s solutions are used by leading companies in the financial services, sharing economy, retail, and travel and online gaming sectors.
Jumio have developed a strong direct sales model and they wanted to expand their reach through developing different channels to market globally.
A decision was made to have senior channel managers in the UK and the US and so began the strategy to attract such talent with a very limited candidate pool and such a wide geographical reach.
There was urgency with the assignment, as the roles had been open for some period of time and needed a focused approach.
Working closely with the CRO & Commercial Director we proposed a retained assignment based approach for these business critical roles, running the two searches simultaneously for the Channel and Partnerships arena in both the UK (London) & US (West Coast).
This particular assignment consisted of mapping out the Global Fraud and Identity sector, as well as related markets, headhunting the top talent and taking sending a positive brand message on behalf of Jumio, to find the highest performing candidates with a wealth of Channel / Partner sales experience as well as the right cultural fit and mind-set.
Playing a key role in advisory of the right, specialist candidate pools to be approaching, our research team set to work and the project was managed by Tom Rope, Principal Consultant, Risk Solutions at Engage.
This assignment required meticulous planning and smart approaches during the candidate search process in order to cover both geographies. Engage PSG took ownership of the process from the conception stage to the final delivery.

The assignment was duly completed and two high quality and experience professionals were placed in London and Palo Alto.
Tom has led two retained searches for me during my time at Jumio for global leadership roles in information security and human resources based either in London or Silicon Valley/San Francisco. Tom & team have an amazing ability to find exceptional candidates, and are certainly detail-oriented when managing the various discussions.
