John Lord

John has spent nearly 40 years in the FRAML and Risk Management industry, which he frames as four horizons. He began his career as a financial analyst before moving into risk underwriting, structured finance, and then into commercial leadership, running international sales and general management for one of the world’s largest credit rating agencies.

In his second horizon, John moved into high-growth scale-ups, becoming Group Managing Director of the UK’s fastest-growing Identity and Fraud business. He led 11 acquisitions, took the company public on the LSE, and helped grow its enterprise value from £18M to over £1B.

Horizon three saw John found the first fully orchestrated global FRAML business, which he scaled and sold to LexisNexis for more than £180M within five years.

Today, in his fourth horizon, John invests in SaaS and AI companies and serves as Chair to high-potential businesses.
