Head of Sales Operations

Madrid - Remote Competitive Permanent

This is a role for someone who likes being close to how a sales business actually runs.

A growing AI-led fintech business is looking for a Head of Sales Operations to work alongside leadership and bring more consistency, visibility, and control to its global sales function. The foundations are there, but like most scaling teams, things need tightening, aligning, and building out properly.

You’ll be the person who connects the dots between strategy and execution, making sure the sales team has the structure, data, and processes in place to perform.


The Role

You’ll take ownership of sales operations globally, working across regions and teams to improve how the function operates day-to-day. That includes everything from forecasting and pipeline visibility, through to pricing, compensation, and sales process design.

It’s not a pure strategy role; you’ll be expected to get into the details, understand what’s happening on the ground, and make practical improvements that actually move the needle.


What You’ll Be Doing

  • Develop and implement sales methodologies aligned to overall business objectives

  • Build and optimise pricing frameworks, including value-based pricing and discounting strategies

  • Design and manage sales compensation structures (base, commission, bonus)

  • Own CRM strategy and optimisation, ensuring data quality and usability across the sales team

  • Lead sales forecasting processes, using data to drive accurate projections

  • Define and track key sales metrics (conversion rates, deal size, sales cycle, etc.)

  • Analyse performance data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement

  • Work closely with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and other teams to ensure alignment

  • Support regional sales teams with insights, reporting, and operational improvements

  • Lead and develop a sales operations function, setting clear priorities and direction


What They’re Looking For

  • 7+ years’ experience in sales operations or a related commercial operations role

  • Experience working in international or global environments

  • Background in software, AI, or cybersecurity environments is highly relevant

  • Strong understanding of sales processes, forecasting, and performance management

  • Experience working with CRM and sales tools (e.g. Salesforce, HubSpot, Gong, Clari)

  • Highly analytical, with the ability to translate data into clear actions

  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence across teams

  • Experience leading or building teams
