A high-growth business in the financial crime and compliance space is looking for a VP Partnerships to take ownership of its global partnerships with consulting firms and strategic partners. The expectation isn’t just relationship-building; it’s creating a channel that consistently drives pipeline and revenue.
What This Role Involves
You’ll define how partnerships fit into the company’s go-to-market strategy and then build the structure to make it work. That means deciding where to focus, which partners to invest in, and how to turn those relationships into something commercially meaningful.
You’ll be working closely with Sales and Marketing, making sure partnerships aren’t operating in isolation but are fully integrated into how the business grows.
Where You’ll Spend Your Time
Building the Strategy
Define and implement a global partnerships strategy aligned to growth objectives
Identify priority partner types and regions, with a strong focus on consulting firms
Decide where partnerships can create the most commercial impact
Making Partnerships Deliver
Build relationships that go beyond introductions—focused on joint pipeline and revenue
Work with partners on co-selling, co-marketing, and joint initiatives
Create clear structures around how opportunities are generated, tracked, and converted
Enablement & Structure
Develop training and enablement programmes so partners can position and sell effectively
Ensure partners understand where they fit and how to engage with the business
Put in place frameworks that make partnerships repeatable, not ad hoc
Working Across the Business
Align closely with Sales and Marketing so partnerships feed directly into pipeline
Share market feedback and insights to influence positioning and strategy
Act as the bridge between external partners and internal teams
Building the Function
Grow and lead the partnerships team over time
Set clear performance expectations and KPIs
Create a culture focused on accountability and results
What They’re Looking For
Strong experience in partnerships or strategic alliances within B2B technology
Deep understanding of the financial crime / AML / compliance landscape
Proven track record of generating pipeline and revenue through partnerships
Experience working with large consulting firms and building senior relationships
Commercial mindset—focused on outcomes, not just activity
Ability to operate strategically while staying close to execution
Strong communication skills, comfortable engaging at executive level
Willingness to travel as required
